Bryan, I love your stories and photography. Both are rich in color and description. And the story about Christmas makes me want to hug my children.

I had a “Between Appointments” moment last fall. I took the dogs on a walk and noticed a beautiful “Painted Lady” butterfly on a butterfly bush out here in Washington. I ran home, grabbed my camera and went back to the pond and the butterfly was still there so I started snapping away. I got some great shots of it and of the beautiful pond. You’d never know that it was in the middle of a windstorm and we don’t really see butterflies in fall, so it was a special moment.
